SUNSET ON THE BAY

"Sunset On The Bay" was inspired by many summer trips to the French River and Georgian Bay areas of northern Ontario and the inescapable desire to go again.  This handmade Canadian original design generates realistic depth in the negative space by the actual absence of glass immediately surrounding the windswept pine tree. The absence allows the outdoors behind where this art panel is displayed, to become a part of this unique piece. This design component allows for an everchanging one-of-a-kind experience in its displayed setting that can not be captured in a photo. 

The graceful windswept pine atop a rocky shoreline, backlit by the setting sun beside the multi toned sparkling waters edge, creates a mini escape every day of the year in your home.  It soothes the soul and quenches the longing till one day, you are back to hear rhythmic water lapping on the shoreline and the haunting call of the Loon...

Materials:  Youghiogheny, Wissmach, Spectrum Oceanside art glasses, copper foil, solder, black patina, polishing wax, authentic Canadian barn board frame with zinc hanging hooks
